Help jamilah Recover from Hit & Run

This GoFundMe is being organized for my friend jamilah, who is fighting to recover and rebuild her life after a tragic hit and run .

In early February, a truck ran into jamilah while she was riding her bike. Her skin and muscle were scraped right off the bone as a result of the impact.  Her knees and ankles were fractured. Her foot was crushed and she suffered a broken tibia.


The truck driver never stopped. They didn’t stay at the scene or even stop to see if she was okay. She laid on the cold pavement in excruciating pain, waiting for the ambulance to arrive.

Right now, jamilah is at Jersey City Medical Center undergoing multiple surgeries, including a surgery to amputate part of her foot. She's hooked up to tubes all over and struggling to move her body. She's in constant pain.


This hit-and-run has changed jamilah's life forever. And while we're all thankful she's still here with us, right now she needs help. jamilah will have to pay medical costs for her treatment and she will probably need extensive physical therapy. Even after she's discharged from the hospital, she is going to need time to heal before she can work again.
