Jane Lucas Memorial Fundraiser

Jane Burke Lucas passed away unexpectedly Sunday, January 2nd in Minneapolis, MN at the age of 69. She was preceded in death by her son and best friend Ryan Lucas, Sister Katie Holcomb, Brother Kevin Burke, and Parents Carlton & Joan Burke.

Jane is survived by Sisters Mary Kelly, Patty Pickus, Brother Terry Burke, and Son Joshua Lucas.

Jane was married to Tony Lucas from 1978-1999. Jane was a loving and caring mother to Josh and Ryan, always putting them above all else.

Jane was a fun-loving and carefree character with a real zest for life. She was an wonderful story teller and lived an amazing life full of stories to tell to anyone she would meet. Like all of us, Jane lived through her share of ups and downs, but always endured and always maintained her tell-it-like-it-is attitude. Jane had a lasting impact on the lives of many, especially those of her son's friends whom she treated as her own. Her laugh and sense of compassion will be missed by many who loved her dearly. Above all, Jane loved her children, Josh and Ryan more than anything. She was such a proud mom, cheering her son's on through every stage in their lives. Through this tragedy, one thing that can comfort us all is we know now she has been reunited with her son Ryan in the Great Beyond. We know they will be looking down on us- laughing at us while we struggle to navigate through this thing we call life.

Jane, we already and will continue to miss you.

Jane always wanted to go home to California- with the funds raised through this platform, her son Josh along with love and support from his father Tony plan to bring her home.
