Janell Green’s Covid Nightmare
Janell was diagnosed with Covid-19 on November 2nd. Her symptoms started Oct 31st. The first 8 days were horrible, filled with body aches, sweats, chills, no appetite, and a cough.
She thought she was getting better and would return to work on Wed the 11th. The night before, she was having problems catching her breath and the doctor had her start a 5 day course of steroids that seemed to help a bit.
2 weeks after diagnosis, about 6pm Saturday, her husband Bill (who has also been positive and off of work) drove her to York General ER. They expected she would get oxygen and maybe some meds... what happened was a barage of testing and an ambulance ride to Bryan East Hospital in Lincoln.
After several more tests at Bryan, it was determined she had blood clots in her lungs preventing her from breathing properly,
after 4 days in the Covid unit, you can imagine the bills are racking up. Unfortunately Janell’s insurance is not effective until December 1st!
With being off of work since October 31st, youcan imagine the fear of making ends meet for Janell and Bill
Please help however you can.
Thank you,
Britt, Karesa, and Laurel
