March 14, 2023 Update!
Hi, my name is DuAnne Seeley and as many of you already know I'm fundraising for Janene Kraft.
Through your generosity, we have already raised a portion of the funds necessary to assist Janene with her ongoing treatment for Stage IV Uterine Cancer. But our fight is not over…, in many ways, it has just begun.
I’ve updated this letter for two reasons:
1. So that we can celebrate what has already been accomplished because of the gifts you have provided.
2. So that we can continue to bless Janene and her family with the funds necessary to continue her therapies.
Please indulge me while I share why we are raising these funds—
Since being diagnosed with recurrent Uterine Cancer, Janene has exhaustively researched her next best steps for treatment that will give her as many years as possible. This research has revealed that there are no current conventional protocols available that offer hope beyond shrinking the tumors to offer short-term remission.
Short-term remission is not enough for our Janene!
If you have read Janene’s Journal [sanctuaryliving.life] you are aware that her fight continues as she undergoes extensive alternative therapies that are helping to extend her life well beyond what conventional treatments can offer.
These life-extending alternative therapies are not covered by insurance…which brings me to your involvement.
The financial burden is more than Janene and her family can currently bear. For most [including Janene], treatments are not attainable without a group effort.
I love how God moves us to give in this way! Whether a gift is $25, $50, $75, $100 or more we believe that any amount makes a HUGE difference in our fight against cancer.
However, this is not only about Janene. If it were, she never would have [reluctantly] agreed to share her journey in this way. She believes that your involvement in this journey will enhance your life and the lives of your loved ones as cancer is a journey we will all experience on some level in our lifetimes.
When I asked Janene what her greatest personal hope is, she replied without hesitation, “Attending my grandson Archer’s high school graduation.” A modest personal goal with far-reaching implications for potentially thousands of lives.
So, while Janene does her part - extensively researching the options, traveling to endure sometimes difficult and painful procedures, being away from family for weeks on end, and sharing her journey to help others - I invite all of us to be blessed by giving, to join us in her fight for life.
The fundraising amount for this GoFundMe effort represents the next phase of her care in addition to assisting with significant costs already incurred that have not yet been covered.
Please check back from time to time for updated information and to see how you can continue to be a part of this remarkable effort.
We love you,
DuAnne Seeley

BEGINNING.....
Hi, my name is DuAnne Seeley and I'm fundraising for Janene Kraft.
I have known Janene for over thirty years. We met while I was on the pastoral staff at Skyline Church with Dr. John Maxwell. Janene was at Skyline for 26 years and I observed her serving tirelessly with almost every ministry in the church. Everyone knew Janene because of her passion for Christ and her servant's heart. She radiated love. If anyone needed anything Janene was there.
I am one of several people that God has called to pray for her as she enters this new season of her life with a diagnosis of Stage IV Uterine Cancer. God has recently put on my heart to organize this GoFundMe page. She reluctantly agreed as this is a very humbling experience for her.
Let me tell you why we are raising these funds—
Since being diagnosed with recurrent Uterine Cancer, Janene has dedicated her time to exhaustive research to determine the best next steps for treatment that will give her as many years as possible.
After meeting with four renowned oncologists and undergoing state-of-the-art testing on her pathology/tissue, it has become apparent that there are no current conventional protocols [chemotherapy, immunotherapy, clinical trials] available that offer hope beyond shrinking the tumors to offer short-term remission.
Alongside her visits with these oncologists, Janene has also extensively researched treatments and considered alternatives, that are not covered by insurance. These treatments offer life-extending treatments to maximize the quality of life for Stage 4 cancer patients.
Janene’s fellowship-trained integrative doctor, Dr. Marcela Dominguez [a full-time staff physician at UC Irvine, Susan Samueli Integrative Health Department], is a strong advocate of these alternative treatments.
In a spirit of hope, Janene and Dr. Dominguez have joined forces to begin the creation of a Clinical Case Study to help exemplify the great benefit of a robust integrative approach. This Case Study will leverage Janene’s inspiring and unique communication gift to document her journey in an intimate and detailed manner on her website sanctuaryliving.life.
This is not only about Janene.
Because these treatments are considered alternatives by insurance companies at this time, the cost is prohibitive. For most (including Janene), they are unattainable without financial help.
Janene did not suggest or ask for my help but has accepted that it is impossible to come up with the funding on her own.
So, while Janene does her part—extensively researching the options, traveling to endure sometimes difficult and painful procedures, being away from family for weeks on end, and sharing her journey to help others—I invite all of us to do our part, to join us in her fight for life.
Please consider any amount invested a huge help. $25, $50, $75, $100, $200 or whatever God puts on your heart.
Another way to help is by sharing this link on your social media.
Thank you for your support in our fight against cancer.
