Janet Alberts potentially life saving treatment

Donation protected
Hi everyone,
This is Camryn, Janet's daughter. If you know my mom, you know how much of a fighter she truly is. Janet's strength didn't come easy, though; in 2001, she lost her firstborn daughter, also my birth mom, Amber Albert, in a fatal car accident. Nine years later, on Christmas Eve 2010, she lost her son. The death of her children created a warrior inside her. Janet is also a loving mother and the most selfless woman. When asked what her life dreams are she always says, "I just want to be a mom" and boy is she! She fostered children for 20 years and even adopted a special needs boy; Janet lives for her children.

Unfortunately, in January 2021, after many doctors visits, our family received some very devastating news. Janet has been diagnosed with Bulbar ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig's disease. ALS is a fatal disease that weakens the muscles and impacts physical function. There is no cure, only medication to slow progression. This disease is a life sentence giving those affected 2 to 5 years to live. There is no known reason why people develop this disease, but we think nerve damage from the stress of losing two of her children plays a big role in Janet's case. There are four different types of ALS, and Janet has been diagnosed with the rarest and most detrimental one. After this diagnosis, we got a second opinion at UCLA, in which the neurologist confirmed the previous diagnosis. Janet loves to talk, spend time shopping, and eat out with her husband and family, but this disease has taken that away. She can no longer speak and uses a drawing board or speech device to communicate. She can no longer eat food because the muscles in her mouth do not work; she gets nutrients through a PEG tube connected directly to her stomach. Although she loves to shop and get out and about around town, she has no energy due to the amount of weight she has lost.
Janet hasn't accepted her diagnosis, and she believes her time isn't in the hands of this disease and that God is entirely in control. After researching for almost a whole year, we found a group of people who have either reversed their ALS, are reversing, and thousands of long-term survivors. This group was the hope doctors refused to give us and the hope Janet and our family needed. After educating ourselves for months on ALS, positive mental attitude, and what toxicity can do to the human body, we are embarking on a healing journey. Janet is seeing a holistic doctor that offers ozone and detoxifying therapies that could potentially be life-saving. She is determined to heal from this disease. Still, unfortunately, money is a significant factor in getting to do everything we need to do since these medical offices don't accept insurance due to the treatments not being traditional. We are reaching out to family, friends and those who happen to run across this page to ask for help and prayers so Janet can fight this fight in the ways necessary. We understand times are tough, so if money isn't something you can spare, we ask for lots of prayers and kind words to Janet, cheering her on. We love each and every one of you. Thank you!
