Janet Bolduc -Rare Metastasized Colon Cancer

Donation protected

Hello dear friends,

We, Jayda and Joslyn, are the daughters of our beautiful mom Janet. For the past 2 years our mom has been fighting a particularly difficult type of cancer. Sadly, she has a rare mutation that has not responded to traditional cancer therapies. Last week we received further disheartening news that the cancer has yet again spread where it metastasized to her liver, again, and now to her lungs.

Last year she underwent several months of traditional chemotherapy but although we were hopeful at first that we had at least halted it for a bit, it quickly returned. This is because the type of cancer she has, on top of being rare, is also extremely aggressive. It's "always on and looking for a place to root" as the Doctors have told us.

She has been going back and forth to the Mayo Clinic in hopes of getting the best care and chance of fighting this terrible disease, but she's now to a point that trying a different chemotherapy approach might only prolong life a bit, not kill the cancer itself. As a result, she now needs to look to alternative Oncology treatment centers and options that sadly, and frustratingly, are not covered by any health insurance. These treatment clinics range anywhere from the tens of thousands, into the hundreds of thousands of dollars and also require extensive travel time and expenses.

Our amazing mom cannot be described in mere words. She is truly one of the most selfless and loving people in the world. She has been the absolute best mom, grandma and wife and friend to all of us, and those who get to be loved by her have been given a beautiful gift. She will do anything for anyone to help them out. She has also faced this formidable enemy with an attitude and grace that are to be deeply admired. We have been in awe of her strength through this all, all the unknowns, the surgeries, the long days away from home in hospitals and hotels, the many pains that come from enduring chemo, the nausea, all of it.

Most to be admired though is her complete and unwavering love for and reliance upon our loving heavenly Father Jehovah. She has clung onto him throughout this entire process and she will continue to do so come what may. Our entire lives our mom has taught us that all our hopes lie in Jehovah's hands alone and that life, even if it can be really painful and hard, is still the biggest gift we ever could receive. She deeply loves his creation from his tiny little creatures to breathing in the trees and fresh lake air that she gets to look at every day. Mom takes comfort that the day is soon coming when all illness will be a thing of the past. Until that amazing day comes, we ask your help to endure these present days of trials and sadness.

We know that we live in a world that is increasingly expensive and hard to make ends meet. If you are able to even donate a few dollars, anything helps. Many hands make the load light.
We thank you with all of our hearts for anything you are able to give and can assure you that every penny will go towards helping our mom receive some treatments that will hopefully give her many more years with us on Jehovah's beautiful earth.

Her husband Rod, and both us kids, thank you for all your kindness and support towards mom in all of the very many ways it has been shown.

"Look! God is my helper; Jehovah is with those supporting me." ~Psalm: 54:4
