Janet Child's Flood Recovery Fund

My name is Patricia Tapia and I am the Chair of San Jose Fire Department Critical Incident Stress Team. I am starting this go fund me page to support our Friend and Mentor Janet Child recover from the San Jose Floods. 

Janet Childs is an expert in crisis intervention and critical incident counseling. She is the founding member of the Center for Living With Dying.  For the past 35 years Janet has lead the Bay Area Critical Incident Team. She has provided training, counseling and response to Bay Area Firefighers dealing with critical incidents.  Janet is a friend and mentor to many Bay Area Firefighters and Police Officers. 

Janet has always given so much of her self to help others, she rarely thinks about her own needs.  Janet continues to show the same committment to serving others by continuing to provide mental health care to flood evacuees even though she is an evacuee herself.  

We would like to raise enough money to help Janet with the cost of temporary housing, repairs, clean up and inspections to her home.
