Mahalo for your kōkua to continue “The Janet Maduli Legacy”

Donation protected

Aloha everyone. My Dad, Elijah and I wanted to extend our heartfelt mahalo for all the aloha that you have shown us and our beautiful Mama these past two weeks. We are so touched by the tributes and words of love for her and how she affected many of your lives. She truly was a gift and loved so hard. So, so hard and I promise you, if you met her, she had aloha for you. And if you hadn’t yet, she was waiting to share her sweet aloha with you.

My family and I are broken. Lost. Don’t know how to take the first step in anything cause she was our leader. Our champ. She did everything for us. The most perfect Mom and Wife “Heaven Sent” for our incredibly tight family of 4. I think it goes without saying how close Elijah and I are to both our parents and this has been earth shattering with how sudden she passed. He and I have never felt a pain like this before. It’s indescribable. My Dad, together with our Mom for nearly 45 years is heartbroken, yet continues to be strong for Elijah and I. We feel all of your aloha & pule and are beyond grateful for the abundant amount of love you continue to share.

We will be celebrating our Mama on August 4th, 2024 at Valley of the Temples with visitation beginning at 11am. Her service will be at 12pm, followed by her burial at 1:30 pm. We would love to invite all of you to her Celebration of Life, “Sunset at the Shell” with the best of the best in Hawaiian Entertainment. This is a FREE concert at one of her favorite venues, Waikīkī Shell. Doors open at 5pm and we encourage you to bring your ‘ohana and learn more about this special woman and hear tributes from those who know her and her enormous contributions to our community. We are gonna have a blast, love on one another and heal together. We can’t wait!

Many of you have asked how you can kōkua. My Mom’s life’s mission was to elevate “Everything to do with Entertainment” here in Hawai’i, from producing perfectly timed shows, her many events, running a concert like no one else could. She is such a bad ass. We know many want to help with food or flowers. However, we have begun a gofundme and feel this is the best way you can honor her memory and keep her legacy alive as we cover costs and do the work to begin “The Janet Maduli Legacy.” A foundation in her honor.

Many are showing their support by helping and performing during the celebration. It’s a lot of work as you can imagine at this terrible and emotional time. We mahalo ALL involved in making this night possible for us to be together to celebrate her.

Portions of this fund will also go to her many loved nonprofits furthering the next generation of Entertainers & Musicians of Hawai’i, with one of those being Kapena School of Music.

Their Mission: Inspiring the growth and the leadership of the youth in Hawai'i, and ensuring the well-being of our community through creative expression.

They are a 501(c)3 music school based in Kane'ohe, Hawaii. Their hope is that this purpose will help to bring mental and emotional wellness to our community. They believe that this wellness is the foundation that grows, inspires and keeps our community healthy. They hope to create a safe space that becomes your extended 'ohana, a place where our students belong, and with teachers who are always ready to welcome them in.

We love the DeLima ‘Ohana and are grateful for their purpose and support of our family over the years.

No amount is too small, and if you can’t give, it’s okay. We all hold space for one another and raise the amount of money we can in honor of her.

Mahalo nui from the bottom of our hearts for caring so deeply for our beautiful angel. She had faith that could move mountains and told us every day of our lives to “say a prayer and give it to God.” On Tuesday, July 9th, 2024, we said a prayer for our most beautiful gift in life, and gave her to God. We miss you terribly Mom, forever in our hearts.

Thank you everyone, we love you nui. See you on August 4th!! Let’s have a BASH!! ;)

Me ke aloha,
Kata, McKenna & Elijah Maduli
