Janet Rivera's Breast Cancer Recovery

Janet Rivera has worked with Blue Roc Premier for over 16 years and has been a friendly face to our BRP community and all of the residents our properties have seen over the years. Everyone knows her for her kind smile and warm heart. Janet has always been there to help however she can without hesitation no matter the situation.

10 years ago, Janet was diagnosed with breast cancer. After a long fight, she was able to ring her bell as she was cancer free, but on January 4th, 2023, Janet and her family received the unfortunate news of her cancer returning. The cancer unfortunately was more aggressive than it seemed and Janet had to undergo surgery to remove both her breast. Thankfully, her surgery on February 24th, went well and Janet is now recovering at home, but is still waiting to hear whether she will have to have follow up treatments or not. As we all know, recovering from such a debilitating illness once is a blessing and so rare, but Janet is a fighter and we know that she will push through once more with the grace of God.

Janet lives at one of the BRP properties with her Husband, Robert, who is also a dear employee to BRP.

Being that there is still a long road to recovery which can often take a physical, emotional, and financial toll, we want to lend a helping hand as she has played such an important role in our community and we want to show our appreciation plus support to help her/her family during this unprecedented time.
