Dear friends, family, and colleagues, thank you for all of your warm messages, prayers, and condolences. One way that we, Janet's family, would like to honor her memory, in support of an idea brought to us by her colleague, Matt Tignanelli, is by creating a music scholarship in her name. For over two decades, Janet was an elementary instrumental music teacher in the Troy School District. For a time, she also offered private clarinet lessons at our home. The scholarship fund is intended for selected instrumental music students in the Troy School District to take private lessons or pursue music or music education in college. Two of the things Janet loved most were music and teaching, and we know that she would love to be remembered in this way.
Donations made here will be dedicated to the establishment of the fund. We are grateful for your support in the creation of this scholarship fund honoring Janet's memory.
