Help Janet Fight Cancer

Thank you for visiting the GoFundMe page for Janet Smith, a loving wife, sister, and wonderful friend.   Janet is kind, loyal, funny, and fiercely protective of her   family's  and friends' well-being.  She is the first to ask what she can do for both those she knows and those she doesn’t.  All of us are better people for knowing Janet.

Janet has worked incredibly hard every day of her adult life as a server and bartender in the Greater Cleveland area.   She is now involved in the biggest struggle of her life, having been  diagnosed with Stage 4 Colorectal  cancer in July of 2017 and is currently undergoing radiation and chemotherapy at Metro Hospital.  While Janet is reluctant to ask for financial help, her friends have impressed upon her the importance of reaching out for two basic reasons.   The most obvious is the financial devastation this disease can create, even for those with private insurance.  This page is designed to help her cover the costs of both medical and living expenses while she battles cancer.  Lessening the significant financial strain will allow Janet more energy to focus on her treatments and health.  The other piece that her friends strongly believe is that people like to help in many ways and donating is simply another way to show their love and support.  Janet has assisted so many people in so many ways throughout her life and now she needs us.   Please help  by contributing any amount you can  and join us in spreading awareness  by sharing this page.
