David is a great kid, a 17-year-old with a bright smile and a bright future. Unfortunately, tragedy has struck him not once but twice in the space of 12 months. In March 2022, his beautiful mom Tracey passed away in the hospital after a brief fight with colon cancer. Then Grandma Janet - his primary caregiver since birth - passed away unexpectedly in February 2023, leaving David without the support system he had grown up in.

We are pulling together as a family to help him through this difficult time, but David will need a lot of help in paying his living expenses and, once he finishes high school, pursuing a higher education.
