Help Janet & John Wolf with Medical Expenses

My name is David, and I am writing this on behalf of many friends of John and Janet. The year 2023 has been difficult for John and Janet. Early in the spring, Janet passed out on the bathroom floor. When John came home, he found her, she did not know what happened. After several months with more episodes and numerous tests, the doctors still could not find a cause. They did find she had a fluid build-up on the brain later diagnosed as NPH. On August 29th, she had surgery to insert a shunt in her brain & drain tube to remove the excess fluid. During this time, Janet experienced moments of difficulty forming thoughts and speaking, though it did help her walking (gate). On October 8, Janet said she had weakness in her left leg and was taken to the hospital. Since that time, Janet has had moments of confusion, high anxiety and refusing to eat, drink or take medication, causing significant weight loss. She has been in & out of hospitals & Rehab facilities with medical staff still uncertain of the cause.

Although, much of the cost for the care of Janet is covered by Medicare and their supplemental insurance, some of the hospital costs are not covered and none of the rehabilitation facility is covered. The cost of the rehabilitation facility alone is $1000-$2000 a week. Without sharing John's personal information, we know the costs have taken a toll on their savings. With no cause yet identified, it is impossible to know how long this will last before Janet is well enough to go back home. John has been by Janet's side, never once wavering to find the help Janet needs. As expected, all of this has been an emotional and financial stress on John as well. Many of us have known them for years and John is always willing to help others but never asks for help.

As John and Janet's friends, we have been praying for God's healing of Janet. Now we see the need to help them financially and know that others might want to help.

The funds will be used to cover the out-of-pocket costs that Medicare & their insurance will not cover. Any funds that are not used, John has requested that it be distributed back to those who gave.
