My name is Josh Kunkel and my wife Janice
was involved in a serious car accident on July 23rd. She and a friend were driving when they encountered a sharp 90° turn on the far side of a blind hill. There were no signs indicating the upcoming turn in the road. The car left the road and rolled onto it's side before hitting a tree. 
She and her friend were both injured and had to be LifeFlighted to Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Fortunately my wife did not end up with any life threatening injuries. Her friend's injuries were more severe, but he is expected to make a full recovery. They are extremely lucky considering the severity of the accident. Unfortunately most health insurance plans due not cover the cost of LifeFlight.
In addition to the cost of the LifeFlight we are now left without a car. I have been on temporary layoff from General Motors since March due to the Covid-19 pandemic and on August 1st I will be placed on indefinite layoff. This means that I will have to find new interim employment. Unfortunately this is very difficult without a car.
I am asking for any assistance you can provide to help us cover the cost of the LifeFlight and get a reliable means of transportation. I wish this was not necessary but with my unemployment coming to an end I have no choice but to rely on the kindness of others. Any help would go a long way to getting us back on our feet.
