Janice's Medical Journey: Your Help Needed

Hi, my name is Janice Hicks.

Im asking for help because on March 14th, just 2 and a half days after being released from the hospital for a different medical issue, I fell outside my home and broke my hip in 3 different places and also broke the femur down in the thigh area.

I spent 6 days in the hospital and then 22 days in the rehab wing at Benton.

I am home now, but I need help getting a ramp installed very soon because I am not able to walk bearing weight on my leg yet and getting up and down stairs for the many doctor visits I have coming up is very hard. Also, once I am able to walk and bear weight on my leg, I will need railings and new steps at my back door which is the door I use primarily.

I am on a limited income, and now I have lots more Doctor appointments to go to and I don’t have the extra funds for the trips.

Anything helps, even if you can’t donate, sharing this will help!
