Surrounded by her loving family, Janine Marie Bullock Smith, 67, of Odenville, AL, peacefully passed away on August 6, 2023. Born in Birmingham, she touched the lives of all who knew her with her radiant energy and spirit for adventure.
Janine leaves behind her devoted husband, Edward Smith, and her children: Marie (Norman) Pope, Tammy (Mark) Barber, William (Holly) Smith, and Lee (Ashley) Smith. She was a grandmother to Malia, Corbin, Raven, Ciara, Dalton, Hayley, Danny, Aiden, Matt, Brylee, Brayden, and Oaklee, and a great-grandmother to Ezra, Grayson, Leon, and Eevee. Janine's life was enriched by the love of her parents, James and June Bullock, and though they are no longer with us, their memory will forever live on in her heart. She was also preceded in death by her brother, James Bullock.
Janine's zest for life came through in her writing, which was the one hobby that she truly enjoyed. Her outgoing personality made it easy for her to make friends with anyone and everyone. She will be greatly missed by many who knew her.
As we honor her memory, let us celebrate the life of this lively woman. Janine will be cremated, and a Celebration of Life service will be held on September 2nd, 2023 location and time to be determined to gather and honor her memory.
The Smith family extends their heartfelt gratitude to all who have offered their support and condolences during this difficult time. Your kindness and love have provided solace and strength, reminding us of the enduring bonds of friendship and family.
As we bid farewell to our beloved Janine, may her spirit inspire us to embrace life with the same zest and love that she showed us every day.
