Janis's Journey: Medical Struggles To Recovery
Donation protected
We invite you to rally around Janis Ianne, the heart of our beautiful family and a strength to those around her. At 35, Janis finds herself in an unexpected fight for her health and needs our support to overcome the obstacles ahead.
Ever resilient, Janis is undergoing extensive treatment at Adventist Rehabilitation to regain her mobility and beat the odds. Upon her return home, however, she'll need special equipment to facilitate her recovery––a powered lift chair/recliner critical to her living arrangement. Her insurance doesn't cover these essential items, creating an added burden.
The journey started in May 2020 after the birth of her third child when severe back pain and leg weakness took hold, rendering routine tasks agonizing. Despite consultations with neurologists and physical therapists along with numerous tests, her condition remained unknown until March 2023.
A meeting with an Orthopedic Surgeon finally shed light on her mysterious ailment. Bertolotti Syndrome was discovered via her latest CT scan, offering clear direction for her recovery.
Despite this revelation, her condition took a turn for the worse in July 2023. A severe back injury led to a fresh wave of debilitating pain, which conventional medications failed to control. Desperate for a solution, her Orthopedic Surgeon arranged for her immediate hospitalization for dedicated pain management and intensive rehabilitation.
Her life since then has revolved around pain management and intense physical therapy; 3 hours of PT and 1 1/2 hours of OT daily. Janis is showing remarkable courage and determination in regaining her strength, driven by the love of her family waiting for her at home.
While Janis's spirit remains unbroken, her journey towards full recovery and a pain-free life continues to be uncertain––and that's where you come in.
This GoFundMe page serves as a platform for all those who wish to extend their support to Janis and her family during this pivotal time. Your kind donations will go directly towards Janis's medical equipment costs, rehabilitation expenses, and other related out-of-pocket costs. If monetary support isn't possible at this time, your prayers and encouraging messages for Janis and her family are just as impactful.
Please feel free to contact Janis and Jaron if you have any questions or concerns. Your compassion and support mean the world to Janis and her family. It enables them to keep hope alive and fuels Janis’s determination to recover. Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts. God bless!
