Jan Olsen is an amazing woman who has been battling cancer. She has been diagnosed with non-small cell Lung Cancer Stage II A , which can be very aggressive. She also has non Squamous-Adenocarcinoma, with one lymph node testing positive for cancer.
Jan had the upper lobe of her right lung removed and a lymph node that was found to be cancerous.
She is currently undergoing chemotherapy and will begin radiation after that.
Jan is our office clerk at Muskegon High School in Muskegon, Michigan and has worked for our district for 23 years. She does an amazing job and is very active in our community, having participated in West Michigan Student Showcase, Summer Celebration and the Irish Music Festival.
We are unaware when Jan will be able to come back to work and the medical costs and personal expenses are adding up.
