Jan's Health Journey

Many of you know my mom, Jan. She was diagnosed with End Stage Kidney Disease in January 2023. The deterioration of her kidneys was largely brought on by a severe eating disorder, amplified by depression, anxiety, OCD, and a sleeping disorder. She now has a caring team of doctors, and has an opportunity for new treatment options recommended by them. The doctors have encouraged her to pursue Ketamine treatment to improve her mental health. While promising, Ketamine is not fully embraced by the insurance giants, and it looks like the first six treatments will cost my parents about $2,400, plus the lost income from my dad making sure he can be with my mom during each treatment. Her kidneys are holding steady, and any improvement in her mental health will help her keep them that way.

If you can help my parents, we would be incredibly grateful. They are already spending thousands of dollars a month on insurance, medical visits, and medications. They will not be able to pursue this treatment without financial help.
