Jared and Sarah Block

Hello, my name is Leslie Miller and I am a very close friend to both Jared and Sarah Block. Sarah and I taught together for several years, and they are the God Parents to my children. When I think of what a friend should be like, I think of them because they are the most loyal, honest, giving people.

Over the weekend, Jared was involved in a horrific car wreck, which resulted in him being care flighted and he is now currently in the Trauma Unit at Parkland Hospital. He sustained a lot of major injuries and has to have multiple surgeries, BUT the good news is that he survived. He just has a very long road ahead of him and recovery.

As you can imagine, this is a very emotional time for Sarah, Jared's parents, his siblings, family, and friends. We are all praying hard for them all and surrounding them with love and support.

Sarah is an amazing 4th Grade Teacher at Tool Elementary in Malakoff ISD. I had the honor teaching with her for several years, and she has taught both of my babies. I have said it so many times and anyone who has taught with her will agree, she is the best teacher I've ever worked with. She is the teacher always going the extra mile, staying hours after school is over, always willing to help fellow teachers. Her passion for her children and wanting them to succeed is admirable. So, you can only imagine how hard this is for her being away from her school babies.

As mentioned, Jared has a long road to recovery and is showing progress daily. He has already had multiple surgeries, and possibly more to come. He is a fighter! The financial toll is one thing I don't want Sarah to worry about, so I set up a bank account for them at VeraBank for anyone wanting to donate, along with this Gofund Me. All proceeds will go to Sarah for her to use towards fuel, food, medical bills, etc so she has one less thing off of her overloaded plate.

Sarah is the strongest and most humble person I know, so I know she will be greatly appreciative to those who want to contribute. Let's wrap our arms around Jared and Sarah and pray for Jared's recovery! We love you!
