Last Thursday my sovereign Store front that provides the community with safe access to their medicine was raided by York Region Police. when I informed them that I was within my legal rights as over 250 shops just like mine exist across Canada. they informed me "there is still by laws and people are going to complain."
I maintain my innocents and I feel I am just allowing people safe access to the plant medicine that helps their lives.
There is an "Georgina post" where I share my reasoning for exercising my inherent right and my sovereignty as a member of the Anishnabek nation. I plan to hunt, gather and trade goods on the traditional territory of my people like my ancestors have done for thousands of years.. I have been open about my business since day one. I am even quoted in the paper citing my rights in section 25 and 35 of the Canadian constitution that where revised in 1982.
The legal fees in this battle to have my sovereignty recognized are going to be extraordinary as this case has the potential to set precedent for many in Canada.
I humbly ask for the support of the community to stand up to my oppressors as they intend to bully me out of my fair shot in this now legal cannabis industry.
