UPDATE FROM ERIN:

As many of you know now, Jared, my husband, my best-friend, and the father of our kids, has been diagnosed with cancer. As you can imagine it came as an absolute shock, and it has been an emotional rollercoaster since January. We are not the most outgoing people and keep a lot to ourselves. But this is bigger than we can handle on our own. Thank you so much for everyones support. The Go fund me has us speechless, and we are so grateful for all have donated. This treatment is intense and it is 5 days a week. It's scary to watch your best friend of 24 years go through all these changes. Thank you to our family who has been so great helping Jared get back and forth to Boston to his daily appointments. Thank you so much to our friends and family that have reached out just to even say hello to make sure we're ( I'm doing ok) Its so appreciated. Thank you for all that have offered and driven the boys to where they have to be. It's so unbelievable of the good and generosity of people. Thank you so much we appreciate and love all of you so much. Jar just competed week 3 but has a lot more to go. Please continue to pray and think healing throughs for him.

Dear friends of the Caruso family,

On January 15, 2024, Jared Caruso received devastating news that no one is ever prepared for— he was diagnosed with throat cancer.

Jared is a loving husband to Erin and will celebrate their 22nd wedding anniversary in May. They have 3 wonderful children- Michael (16), Mason (12), and Maddison (6). Truly a devoted father, whenever not at work, Jared is always with his children. He enjoys watching them play football, wrestling, lacrosse and dance.

Jared is a 25 year member of the North Atlantic Carpenters Union, local 346. Most recently acting as a Carpenter Foreman, at Turner Construction for the past 12 years. As the sole financial provider, Jared is responsible for supporting his family, however this will become increasingly more difficult throughout his lengthy and rigorous treatment schedule, that will render him unable to work.

Jared faces a mentally, physically and financially challenging road ahead. He remains positive and resilient however the financial challenges due to medical expenses are tremendous.
