Jared Conard Black Memorial College Scholarship
Donation protected
May 18, 2018 my son was murdered at Santa Fe High School. People in their generosity sent funds to families, all which were greatly appreciated and helped in the aftermath of sorting out life while not being able to mentally function. We are members of Aldersgate United Methodist Church in Santa Fe Texas, and Methodists from across America starting sending money to my church. When asked what I wanted to do with it, I wanted to pay it forward in honor of Jared. The scholarship is designed for children graduating Santa Fe High School that have required special services during their school careers.
Jared had Asperger’s and ADHD, along with several other behavioral disabilities, this scholarship benefits others that have challenges in learning.
All funds are sent to the Texas Methodist Foundation to Jared’s. The first year, 2 scholarships were awarded and last year (year 2) 3 scholarships were awarded. Please help keep Jared’s legacy alive. Thank you.
