Jared Douglas' Trauma Surgery

Dear Fayetteville community,
On the night of March 21, our friend Jared Douglas was walking down Dickson Street where he decided to hop on a Veo Ride scooter sitting in front of Dickson Street Liquor. This is when he was suddenly attacked and assaulted by 4 men who claimed the community scooter belonged to them. This assault resulted in Jared sustaining very traumatic, life-changing injuries.
As a Fayettevillian, in our tight knit community, most of us feel safe to walk alone at night. However, that's not always the case. Those who know Jared know that he is a gentle and kind human who is incapable of doing what was done to him, to others.
His injuries include bruises, cuts, missing teeth and a mandibular fracture. For those who aren't familiar, a mandibular fracture is a broken jaw bone. As a result of these injuries Jared is having to undergo Oral & Facial surgery in order to heal and move on.
Just like most of us, Jared is without health insurance and his family is left to deal with the burden of medical bills and expenses at the fault of someone else. We would like to ask the Fayetteville community to help ease this burden and donate to help with the medical bills coming their way, as we know Jared would do the same for each one of us.
