I am a friend of a dear heart centered family. I have seen bravery. The younger son, Jared, lost all kidney function as a senior in high school, and now, has bravely endured the frustration of dialysis for 12 long years.
I have seen courage in Jared's older brother, Kiel. He is dedicated to bringing balance, life, growth and healing to Jared. Kiel is on-duty for Jared 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. As a result, Kiel is not working a full-time job, but remains alert to Jared's needs.
For the first eleven years, Jared was able and active. Now Jared's heart is in trouble, weakened by dialysis.
He must stop to rest 5 times to get to his local coffee shop. It's just a block away.
So we have two wonderful guys. One not able to work, and one choosing the higher path, caring for his brother. Yes. I have seen courage.
Since they are not able to cover daily expenses, like rent, food, and food for Jared's service dog Johnny Utah, we ask that, if Jared's story calls to you, that you support them, with money, with prayers and love.
And since kidney transplant is not an option, if you know of a promising resource or therapy that will sustain Jared and his beautiful life-force, we would love to hear from you.
Kiel and Jared will need rent money again the first of the month. Their parents have been supplementing them. This burden is taking its toll on them.
Kiel , Tom and Caroline (parents) have lived a life of sevice to others...Tom has been a school psychologist extraodinare for 35+ years. Caroline has been amazing school teacher that comes totally from the heart with wonderful vision and creativity . They both see each child for the gifts they offer the world and society and give them the confidence and tools to reach their potential. As their friend I am asking for your heart felt generousity to see this family through a very difficult time....it would mean so much to see them be helped and supported as much as they have done to help and support many of the worlds children and adults (me for one) .
