MSG Jared Van Aalst Memorial Bench
Donation protected
The Plymouth Regional High School Class of 1993 is planning our 20+ class reunion this fall we would like to honor and remember our classmate Jared Van Aalst who was killed in the line of duty. We have gained permission from the high school to place a granite bench in Jared's honor and memory on the school property. We are currently reaching out to classmates, teachers, faculty, alumni, friends, family, community members and local businesses who are interested in making a donation to support our effort. We would also like to give back to PRHS for allowing us to remember and honor Jared on the school property. So we plan to make a donation to the Booster Club at the high schoool in Jared's memory. He was an active memory of the football team as well as the wrestling team and it would make him proud to see the Class of 1993 giving back. We also hope to make a donation to the JVA Memorial Foundation which was established by Jared's wife Katie and awards scholarships each year to deserving students. We are planning a dedication and unveiling of the bench ceremony in Sept 2014 and will post details as they become finalized. Please feel free to leave comments, stories, memories that you have of Jared on the page. It is great to see how he has touched so many people's lives. His sacrifice will always be remembered and he will always be close to our hearts. He had a heart of gold and will always be a true hero to us all. Jared was a man of honor and integrity and lived life to the fullest. He was an inspiring mentor and teacher who encouraged his soldiers and his friends to pursue excellence in all their endeavors. This is our chance to finally say thank you for his ultimate sacrifice. Any and all donations are greatly appreciated. Thank you for your support!
