Jarod Dakota Henize

Hi, we are Kaitlin and Clayton Henize. On February 6, we received the devastating news that Clayton's 25 year old brother, Jarod, had been killed in a vehicle accident. He was in a head on collision with an 18 wheeler. Clayton and Jarod had a special relationship. Jarod lived with us off and on for several years and they worked together most of that time. He was his big brother’s right hand man. We will always remember how happy Jarod was and how he was always willing to help when someone needed him.

Something that no 28 year old should ever have to do is to plan a funeral for your 25 year old brother, much less to consider the impact of paying for one. The total cost of the funeral was $9,000. Some family members have contributed to the funeral expenses as they were able, but in order to pay the remaining expenses, we maxed out 2 credit cards and gave all of the money we had saved for our business expenses, mortgage, car payment, taxes, food. We gave everything we had to give. Unfortunately the funeral home did not offer payment plans, so we did what we had to do to lay Clayton’s brother to rest. We are humbly asking that, if you are able, would you please donate towards the funeral expenses to help us get back on our feet?
