Jarrid Wanzek and Family

As few are aware, our dear friend, Jarrid Wanzek, has recently been diagnosed with stage 2 rectal cancer. In addition to this cancer, Jarrid had undergone surgery to remove a brain tumor in 2016, followed by a grand mal seizure in 2020. Continuous appointments for follow-up & monitoring occurs yearly to ensure the tumor does not return & seizure activity subsides. With medical advancements using immunotherapy to treat Jarrid’s cancer, the family has options to choose the traditional route using radiation, chemo and surgery or immunotherapy. Using either method, consistent trips to Fargo and Jamestown for appointments and treatments will create extensive costs for the family beyond affordability.
