Jase Bahr Fundraiser

Hi, my name is Lisa Adler. I am fundraising for my eight-year-old cousin, Jase Bahr who was recently diagnosed with Crohn's Disease. Let me tell you a little about his journey. Jase’s health battle with Crohn’s began two long years ago… December 2020. Jase started having excessive bathroom visits that resulted in odd results. By January 2021, he started developing painful sores around his mouth that would not heal. Unfortunately, his issues didn’t stop there-by February 2021; his upper gums were so swollen his top teeth were difficult to see. This started the family's quest to find the cause of Jase’s ailments and get him some much-needed relief. During the Summer of 2021, Jase visited every specialist that he could to see if anyone could provide the family with answers. Finally, after being tested at Mayo Clinic, he was diagnosed…Crohn’s Disease. Two small words will forever change the life of Jase and his family. Treatment has been complex, and they still haven’t found the right cocktail of medication to alleviate all his symptoms.

“The most inspiring thing about his journey is seeing how brave and strong our son is. Not once did he whine or complain about his stomach, the infusions, or the drives to Sioux Falls. The most heartwarming thing is the support and kindness we have received from our community, friends, and family. There is no way Jase or ourselves could have been through all this without them. Thank you does not even come close to how much we appreciate everyone.”

For those of you who are not familiar with the Dion and Sam Bahr family, they own the Jungle Lanes and Lounge in Groton. Over the years, they have hosted many fundraisers for families and organizations to help raise funds for many worthwhile projects and needs. Now it is our turn to give back to them. The community has come together to assist in paying for Jase’s medical bills and associated expenses.
