Jason Pogson - Chris Powell Memorial
Donation protected
Hello! My name is Jase

Come and join me in donating money for this worthy cause.
As a bonus, depending on how much money is raised, I will lose my beard, my hair and maybe even my eyebrows!! I'm a bit worried about the eyebrows as I'm going to a wedding 6 weeks after the shave date, but give it your best shot!
I will shave off my beard if we raise $5,000 I will also shave my head and eyebrows if we raise $10,000 Shave date is set for 12th March 2017. Let's get donating!
------------------------------------------------------------------- The Chris Powell Tanna Vehicle Fund is in memory of a beloved husband, father, son and friend. You may have read or saw in the news the tragic crane/elevated work platform accident in Brisbane that killed Chris, an aerial photographer, and left his eldest son in hospital with extensive injuries.
BACKGROUND
One of the projects the charity Bethezer covers is a school in Vanuatu on the island of Tanna. Chris Powell was involved in the Kapalpal School from the very beginning. He and his family have always supported Bethezer’s work at the school. In the last few years they have been even more actively involved in the work as volunteers who helped with building, taking school photos, and running camps for the children. Chris was part of the first group who went across to the school on Tanna after Cyclone Pam ravaged the area. The work of the Powell family has been really appreciated. Chris had a dream. He saw the desperate need at the school for a vehicle. He understood how much Bethezer has to pay in transport costs to get educational and building supplies from the dock to the school, to re-supply volunteers, to take children and villagers to the hospital and for a variety of other reasons. This is what the funds raised in this fundraiser will be used for. When Chris died in December, Lea, his wife, instigated this fund by asking that instead of sending flowers for the funeral, people instead donate to a vehicle fund for the school on Tanna. Lea felt this was something Chris would badly want.
