Jasmine Patton’s Miracle Baby
Donation protected
Jasmine Patton and her husband Edgar dreamed of becoming parents. In May of 2023, they announced that they were expecting their little miracle baby in October of this year. From that moment, every decision was made to help prepare for this precious baby; from moving houses, to changing jobs. Jasmine was already being the best mother, and she hadn’t even had the baby yet. The last week of September, with only 3 weeks to go, Jasmine was not feeling well and her doctor placed her on bedrest. On September 28, she was rushed to the hospital where she had an emergency c-section and Baby Emery was born. Unfortunately, Jasmine went into HELLP, where her liver stopped producing the life sustaining elements it needed to and began to fail. She was transferred to a higher level of care where they determined she would need additional support through a MARS device. She was then transferred to Vanderbilt Hospital the night of September 29. From there, her family got the news that she needed a liver transplant. The morning of Saturday, September 30, Jasmine unfortunately passed away. Jasmine was the life of every party. She was kind, smart, beautiful, and had the best wit and sense of humor. She loved her family and never had a friend that didn’t become her family.
Baby Emery is currently still in the hospital, but she is getting better and stronger every day. Jasmine always talked about how baby Emery would have the best dad in Edgar. We, Jasmine’s work family, would still like to find a way to support their family through this loss. On behalf of her family, we would like to start a college fund for Baby Emery. Jasmine believed in bettering herself through education and was a nurse practitioner. We would love to help Baby Emery achieve her future goals.
