Dear Friends and Family,

First of all, thank you for all of the support and prayers, as they are much needed! We have received numerous amounts of phone calls and messages from our caring friends and family, asking how they can help. This was the best way we could think of, to coordinate the outpouring of love and support. You may be aware that our home was recently and completely flooded during Hurricane Harvey. This devastating event has caused us to lose everything. Clothes, two vehicles, electronics, kid’s toys, everyday household items, beds, washer and dryer, and furniture. Everything one can possibly accumulate after ten years together including keepsake items and photos that are irreplaceable. We are very thankful that our family is safe first and foremost, and appreciate everyone who has already helped with donations. Although, we are confident that through our strong work ethic  and emotional support, we will eventually bounce back from this, we have conceded to swallow our pride for the sake of our family, and welcome any help that we can get. The girls have fortunately been able to begin school today and book bags were donated and for that, we are appreciative! They do have clothes to get them started but we have not yet been able to completely finish “school clothes shopping”. Monetary donations will be used to help us begin to replace items lost. Please keep us and Texas in your prayers in the upcoming months. The flood waters have not yet receded but when they do, there will be an abundance of physical work, sweat and probably even more tears to be experienced. Words cannot begin to express our gratitude for your gracious hearts and thoughts during this difficult time!! Also, a special thanks to Ed and Linda Gomez's friends for their donations and support. We are saddened for ALL Texans who have lost so much! May God bless you all.
