Jason Bindner's Road to recovery, & family support

Donation protected
Jason Bindner, his wife Amanda, family, and friends planned on a fun day at the lake Saturday August 3rd. No one would know the tragedy that awaited them. After  a beautiful fun day Jason,  Amanda, Jason's daughter Kalyn, sister Cindy. Cindy's husband Kris were ready to head home. Jason jumped in the water one last time to cool off before the boat ride back to dock. That's when tragedy struck. Jason didn't realize how shallow the water was when he dove in. He dove in the water and hit the shallow beach, he was instantly paralyzed. He jumped off when no one saw him, after a friend looked over and saw him floating in the water his wife Amanda grabbed him and pulled him out of water and instantly started chest compression. Jason's sister gave him the breath of air he needed to revive him, then Firefighter brother in-law knew the precautions to take and  started all necessary steps to take to stabilize him. Friends jumped into action and went separate ways to get a hold of park rangers, police, coast guard to get a flight for life for Jason. After over an hour Coast Guard found them put him on their boat and hauled him to Echo Bay where they awaited the Helicopter to take him to UMC Hospital. After a long 3 hours the helicopter arrived and transported him to UMC. That's when we found what was entirely wrong with our beloved Jason. Jason fractured his C-4 on his neck which is the highest injury in the neck. Where he was injured is known for paralysis. After multiple MRI's, & Cat Scans, he needed surgery. He can wiggle his toes, lift his neck, but he is no where near out of the woods, he still can't use his upper body or legs fully, &  he can't control his breathing. Doctor's are fighting hard and Amanda, sister Cindy, and mother Rhonda are there almost all hours making sure he gets the best care possible. After he can breath on his own he will be transferred to Denver, CO where they have top notch rehabilitation center. What we are asking is PRAYERS! Pray for Jason's health, pray this family makes it through this unimaginable tragedy. Jason is the hardest working man the bread winner, we are asking for donations to keep his family safe while we focus on his healing. Deductibles are through the roof, we will take any and all forms of help. This man is well known in Moapa Valley, in his work field and all around Vegas, and even through the states; as a hard working, loving, caring, very blunt always tells the truth, amazing man. He is keeping his spirits up and is fighting his absolute hardest to make it through this. We love all and appreciate all efforts.
