Jason DeHaas and family Assistance

- Hi friends. If you’ve been around Southern Oregon Subaru much in the last 20 years, you’ve probably met Jason DeHaas. He’s an incredible man and an integral part of our story here at Subaru.
- He recently had been experiencing knee pain that was like a knife stabbing and after missing work and getting some tests up in portland, they’ve revealed that he has cancer (a kind of Sarcoma) in the knee and amputation is a very real possibility. During the process, an ordinary CT scan of his chest revealed multiple (innumerable) lesions on his lungs and the prognosis came back stage 4 lung cancer as well. It is a total and utter shock and to say Jason and his family are devastated is a massive, massive understatement. The process and procedures have just begun and because it’s such a rare and complicated case Jason will be subject to many more scans, tests, images, and hospital trips to portland. Jason, Derrick, Sarah, and Maria all covet your prayers. I’m organizing this gofundme hoping to accomplish 3 things:
- 1. To get the word out and to lift his family up in prayer.
- 2. Jason has been unable to work and basically is confined to bed and the bills are mounting. Health insurance is limited and all the imaging and scans are “out of pocket”. Travel expenses and his lack of income are already a stress.
- 3. The family lives rurally and help will be needed around the property to chop wood to heat their home, general clean up etc. I’ll be organizing some trips up there to help and if you’re interested send me an email for coordination.
