Jason Moss tested positive for Covid-19 on November 10, 2020. On November 13, Jason was hospitalized with pneumonia and ARDS (Acute Respiratory Distress). On November 18th, Jason was placed on a ventilator in the ICU.
This Thanksgiving, Jason’s wife, Christine, and their triplet sons Spencer, Oliver, and Ian were at home praying for Jason as he was taken from the local hospital near his home to Barnes Hospital via helicopter. At Barnes, Jason was placed on an ECMO machine (a form of life support that acts as the heart and lungs and when the ventilator alone is not enough for the patient to thrive).
This past weekend, the doctor told Christine that Jason has pulmonary fibrosis (irreversible lung damage) and it is quite extensive. There is also concern that a lack of oxygen has possibly caused brain damage.
The road to recovery will be extensive, but his family and doctors are remaining hopeful. Jason’s surgeons are working hard to make sure his is receiving all the proper medical care for his intubation and the countless issues that have arisen with it. Every setback is heartbreaking and every victory is rejoiced.
Christine and their sons are devastated. They aren’t thinking of medical bills, they are praying for Jason’s healthy recovery. Please do the same and pray for Jason and his family. We all know that many families are in this very same position right now. However, if you are able to ease their financial burden, please contribute to the fund. It will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
