Jason Newcombe Medical Help

Recently one of my Brother Firefighters, and fellow officer Jason Newcombe was diagnosed with cancer. Jason has spent many years in the fire and rescue service, most recently as a Lieutenant in Hose Two for The Massena Volunteer Fire Department. He is an active and respected member, a leader, and a recent recipient of Firefighter of the year. Jason is also a member of the ALCOA Emergency Response Team, as a Firefighter, Rope Rescue and Hazmat Tech.  Jason is an outdoorsman, sharing that passion with his fiancé and children. He’s also very active in local sports. When Jason spoke with our Chiefs about his medical issues, he made it clear that he didn’t want this to be a big deal, and didn’t want to ask for help. When I approached him about starting a Go Fund Me, his response was no. He didn’t feel right asking for help, as he’s usually the one giving it.  But that’s not how this Brotherhood works. If you have the extra, I’m asking you to help someone who is always first in line to help everyone else. Jason, your brothers have your back, and you don’t have to do this alone...
