Jason Rocco Medical Emergency
Donation protected
Update: As of now worker’s compensation has initially denied Jason’s claim, despite it being an on duty injury. This happens occasionally and everyone is trying to work with workers comp to correct the issue.
My name is Jim Allen and my friend and fellow firefighter Jason Rocco, recently suffered a serious medical emergency while on duty. He was rushed to the emergency room and diagnosed with a descending aortic aneurysm with abdominal aortic dissection. He underwent a surgical procedure to repair it. The recovery time is anywhere between one and three months; however, he has been told that his return to duty as a firefighter is not guaranteed. As of now he is out of work and workers compensation will pay him; however, this pay will be approximately 80% of his normal salary. He is the sole provider, as his wife works as a stay at home mom, taking care of their two children, Dominic and Arizona. He is currently not able to work his primary or part time job, due to his medical condition as well as workers compensation not permitting him to. In addition to Jason’s service as a firefighter, he is also a US Marince Corps Veteran with two combat tours to Iraq. Please consider donating to assist them with bills, household needs, and etc. The Rocco’s are great friends and a wonderful family, who have really been hit with a devastating situation.
