Jason Symington memorial

Donation protected
Jason Symington passed away this week after a quick and fierce battle with cancer.  He leaves behind his wife of 23 years (my sister),  Laurie; his daughter Molly and son William.  Jason was his kids’ biggest fan, always in the front row of the baseball field or the theatre stage.

Jason was diagnosed with cancer in early June and passed away only 70 days after his diagnosis.  We are incredibly grateful to the Cancer Clinic and to the staffs at Royal Columbian and Ridge Meadows who helped to make Jason comfortable during his last days.

Jason  was a hard working chef, giving everything he had to many restaurants over the years.  He was passionate about food and menu development and had a very loyal crew of co-workers.

He spent many hours coaching baseball through the years and made a big difference in the lives of Coquitlam Little League families.

Jason will be missed.  Unfortunately, his passing leaves a financial hole as well as an emotional one.  Jason was the primary breadwinner and the family needs some help to adjust to their new reality.  Molly is entering college and Will is entering Grade 11.  We are humbly asking for support for them.  We’d like to collect enough to allow them to cover funeral costs and sufficient funds to help the kids continue their education without interruption.  Our extended family is so grateful for the support of our friends and community.
