Jason Vaughn Evans

My name is Laura, I am raising money for a dear friend.

I have known Jason since 1992. We met in college and he is one of the most talented actors I know.

Some of you may know that Jay suffered a massive stroke in 2016 leaving him confined to a wheelchair.

In late July 2022 Jay's longtime partner, passed unexpectedly. Jason was then evicted and lost his disability income.

In October of 2022 Jay was attempting to stay in a shelter but with the hurricane at the time there was no room.

While living on the streets he fell out of his chair and injured himself.

He was in the hospital and rehab center for the remainder of 2022 and into 2023.

He had regained his SS benefits and was renting a room by the end of 2023. In December he was hospitalized again, while there his room was rented out and all his personal belongings thrown away.

His wallet and ID were stolen.

Once again, his disability payments ceased.

Jason is currently living in a shelter with his motorized wheelchair and attempting to go back to school and fight the disability determination.

I am asking to donate to help Jason so he can have money for basic needs at this time.

Those that know Jason know the funny man that he is and his sense of humor remains intact.
