Jason Zaske Assault Recovery

Thank you to all who contributed and for your continued prayers. Jason is overwhelmed from the love and generosity from everyone.

**UPDATE ** I'd like to provide an update on Jason's condition. He is home and showing physical improvement each day. Thankfully, he did not require surgery on his spleen. However, he's experiencing pain, hindering his ability to sleep well. The concussion has left him struggling with mental fog, while the emotional aftermath of the incident weighs heavily on him. Seeking prayers for his mental healing, for the ability to move beyond the lingering effects of the incident in his mind. Thank you again to all for your support, we have such amazing people in our lives!

**UPDATE ** Jason is so grateful to you all! The outpouring of love and generosity from our west coast family and friends got us to our initial goal quickly. WOW, THANK YOU!!!! His community in Tennessee heard about this campaign and requested that we increase the goal to spread awareness. We are incredibly touched by the support all of you have given to Jason and his family. Thank you again to all for your support, prayers and love!

Many of you know my brother, Jason Zaske. He currently resides in Tennessee with his wife and three daughters. Jason serves as a guard at a youth detention facility. However, this past weekend, he endured a horrifying incident. Three inmates, ages 16, 17 and 18, viciously attacked him. Despite Jason's calls for assistance, the first responder arrived but quickly retreated for his own safety, leaving him defenseless against the ongoing assault. Jason has shared that it was in that moment he feared for his life.

Jason was taken to the hospital in critical condition, sustaining injuries including a lacerated spleen, cracked ribs, internal bruising, and enduring over 100 kicks to the head, leading to a severe concussion and multiple facial lacerations. Miraculously, he has since stabilized and is recovering.

The Zaske family relies solely on Jason's income, as his wife Julie stays at home to homeschool their daughters. This is why I've taken the initiative to start this GoFundMe campaign. My goal is to ease the financial burden caused by Jason's inability to work while he focuses on healing. Your contribution, no matter the amount, would be immensely appreciated and would go a long way in supporting Jason during this challenging time. Thank you for your consideration and generosity.

We have chosen not to share photos of his injuries as they are graphic and can be triggering to some. Here is the local news report of the incident:
