E-Sight for Jason Kaufman
Donation protected
A dear friend of mine, Jason Kaufman has had to live with visual impairment since the day he was born and has learned to live a full functioning life with his son and wife. Jason is a volunteer fire fighter, a 911 dispatcher, CPR/AED instructor, a substitute teacher at Sun Area Technical Institute, a rescue diver, and spends a large amount of his time doing community service helping others. Jason is not allowed to drive at night because of his sight loss, being legally blind in his left eye. He has 20/60 vision in his right eye with corrective lenses. He has recently made a trip to Canada to see if he is eligible for the newest technology called E-Glasses. These glasses will give Jason 20/23 vision in BOTH eyes. Unfortunately the cost is $15,000 and insurance will not cover any of the cost. Please help us by donating anything you can. Presently Jason cannot even read a book to his two year old son Hunter, without holding the book tight against his face, therefore Hunter can't even look at the photos in the books. Any little bit will help, I know he would do anything for anyone and that he deserves to be able literally WATCH his son grow.
