Eviction Prevention Fund: Your Help Can Make a Dif

Hello, my name is Jason. I have recently come into a bad situation. Unfortunately, I lost my job nearly a year ago due to getting Covid on a Royal Caribbean cruise. Ironic enough I worked for Royal Caribbean. As soon as I started feeling sick I got tested and found I was positive. Not wanting to get anyone else sick I went into isolation and immediately contacted my bosses to find out what I should do since I knew that they would need a doctor's note. I received an email from HR, almost two weeks, later telling me to contact TeleDoc.com to get the note. I did as told and was able to get the note which I immediately sent to HR. When I went back to work I was told that the Doctor had goofed up and only given me a note for the three days remaining for my isolation period. So I would either need to get a corrected note or have a doctor fill out an FMLA form. I contacted TeleDoc and was unable to get the same Doctor to get a corrected note, plus was shown that in the FAQs for TeleDoc, it says specifically that they won't fill out an FMLA form. I contacted HR and was told I could not come back to work without either form. I checked with both UrgentCare and the ER and was told that they wouldn't fill out the form. I tried to at least go back to work, so I could work while I explained or at least so they could fire me, unfortunately, they had changed my password so I couldn't even log in to go to work, we were all working from home at the time. I contacted HR to tell them what was going on and was once again advised that they wouldn't let me come back to work without the form.
I started looking for another job because I needed to work. Unfortunately, for three months I was unable to find work because I had to say on applications that I already had a job. For the entire three months, Royal Caribbean wouldn't fire me, but they wouldn't let me come back to work either. Finally, on 8/31/22 they fired me. I signed up for unemployment on that day to at least get some money coming in, so I wouldn't have to keep selling everything I own while I looked for work. I found out from some of my co-workers less than two weeks later that Royal Caribbean laid off my entire department so they could send our jobs to Guatemala. In November, my unemployment was denied because Royal said I was fired "with cause". I have been fighting to get a job ever since. I apply to any job listing I find on Monster, Indeed or in the Newspaper. I get interviews but have only gotten 1 offer as a dishwasher for Norwegian cruise lines, which I couldn't take due to having any money for the Merchant Mariners card they require. I have cashed out my 401k, and any investments I previously had, and sold everything I own that was worth money. I am asking for any help that people can provide. I'm willing to pay anything I get back as soon as I get through this, and get a new job. I have a total of $5 to my name, most of which is going to a bus pass today so I can go to an interview. Please help.
