Javi Fonseca needs our help with medical expenses

On a recent day off from his duties at a small town hospital as a Respiratory Therapist, where he serves everyone from at-risk infants in the NICU to seniors struggling to keep breathing, our friend and family member Javier Fonseca had a tragic vehicle accident. Javi graduated from college just a year ago and has been very excited to move out on his own and serve others in his new career. When the crash happened, Javi was rushed by ambulance to the local hospital and then was airlifted to a larger city hospital that could handle the severity of his injuries and take him right into emergency surgery.  He received emergency surgery on his left radius, ulna (radial head fracture )  and his right humerus. He dislocated his ulna, fractured his radius and shattered his humerus, and required two metal plates to reconnect his bones. We don’t know exactly how long he will be out of work, but with physical therapy, it can take up to 6-12 months before he gains normal function in his shoulder.  

Meanwhile he is faced with the medical air flight, surgical costs, hospital costs as well as physical therapy (some will not even be paid for under by his  insurance) his loss of income while he is out of work, as well as his college tuition payments, and ongoing day to day expenses while he fights to regain the use of his shoulder and be able to get back to work.

As Javi’s friends, family, and people who love and care about him, this is one way we can help to support him. We want to help with all the accumulating expenses. This is a way for us to gather around Javier, making that happen together from many locations around the world.
