Javiers Sanchez liver transplant

Three months ago, my brother Javier was diagnosed with cirrhosis of the liver. In addition to poor liver function, his kidneys began shutting down. For the past three months, he has fought for his life; traveling to and from the hospital. Doctors had communicated that the only option for survival was an organ transplant.

God has listened to our words and our hearts, and has been faithful to our requests. Javier has been approved for a liver transplant, and must be in Loma Linda by this Friday. He is currently being stabilized to ensure a safe travel to the transplant center.

Javier’s wonderful support system; a loving family who has been beside him from day one, will also be traveling to California. The transplant requires a minimum of two people to provide 24 hour care for the next three months. My mother’s love is immeasurable, as she and my sister law Macy Mendez and Alexis his daughter will continue to care for him even though this requires them to be out of work until further notice.

We know to trust in our Heavenly Father and not be anxious; but we do need the help of our friends and family help cover expenses. There is a high cost associated with transplant surgery and recovery; not to mention the cost of travel accommodations for those caring for him.
