Jaxen’s Parents Dustin and Olivia Johnson

Updated post:
My name is Candy Martinez and I wanted to help my stepdaughter Olivia and her husband Dustin during the time of their son( our grandson) Jaxen’s illness by creating a Go Fund Me page. He is their miracle rainbow baby. If you can’t give at this time, please pray for him, his parents, the doctors, and the nurses.
We've all been kicked while we're down. We've all raised our fists in frustration and screamed to the Heavens, "Please, God, not THIS!"
But it happens to the best and the blessed of us and sometimes we have to lean on our people, no matter how hard it may seem or how vulnerable it makes us feel. It's not a good place to be but it is what makes us human.
Dustin and Olivia have been hit with a very hard diagnosis for their baby, Jaxen. He has a cancerous tumor on his tiny liver called Hepatoblastoma. What an awful word that is. Monday he will have an MRI and biopsy to determine course of action. It is a very rare cancer that affects children less than 3 years old.
After years of infertility, a premature birth and all the heartache that entails, this latest news has been devastating. They could really use your love, prayers, and assistance.
Because Jaxen will be hospitalized for a good portion of time, his parents will be missing work and would be so appreciative of any donations to help with loss of income, gas or accommodation costs. Anything and everything is welcome, most especially prayers and big love.
On February 12, Jaxen had the left lobe of his liver, the tumor, and his gallbladder removed at the Children’s Hospital in Cincinnati, OH. They were able to remove the whole tumor. The doctors were very pleased with how well he did after surgery. He was discharged 6 days later. The pathology came back with the tumor 99% dead with 1% alive. The prior cycles of chemotherapy killed the 99% of the tumor which we are very thankful. He still has to receive another cycle of chemotherapy. Mom, grandma, and Jaxen are still there, while dad had to travel back home. Funds are still needed to travel back and forth to Cincinnati via airfare or by vehicle, food, and other accommodations, etc. Thank you for leaning into this family. Donations can be made either be made via GOFUNDME or at Atlamaha Bank.
