Our friend and brother Jaxon Kai James left us on July 9th after fighting a hard battle with ALS. This has been a devastating loss for all who knew him. Especially for his mother Laura and wife Phaedra who have been tirelessly by his side caring for him. We are so blessed he had these two angels fighting with him until the end.
We are supporting Jaxon's family during this time of grief by coordinating a paddle out and dinner reception August 10th. We are hoping through this donate page we can cover the costs of the event as well as raise money for the ALS Association, who's mission is to discover treatments and a cure for devastating disease.
Not knowing the exact headcount our goal is $6K. We are hoping this will cover the costs of the event with funds left to donate to the ALS Association.
Jaxon wished for us to spread some of his ashes at Trestles (uppers), one of his favorite surf spots in California. There will be a paddle out there at 11:30 followed by a dinner reception and no host bar at the Dana Point Yacht Club starting at 4.
The reception will be a celebration of Jaxon's life, an opportunity to reconnect and share the stories and good times we had together. We would love nothing more than to celebrate his life with all of our friends and his family.
