Hi, We’re Charly & Rob (Jaxon's parents)
On the 1st of July, our worlds fell apart after hearing the words no parent should ever have to hear - ‘ Your son has a very large brain tumour’
We didn’t have time to process what we had been told, it was now about our Beautiful Brave Boy.
Right up until Jaxon deteriorated, he was his usual, funny self and to see his health deteriorate was devastating.
Jaxon was placed into an induced coma before making the trip to Southampton General Hospital and straight to surgery for a fluid drain to be fitted.
On July 4th, Jaxon underwent major brain surgery to remove this horrible tumour. After 7 hours of surgery and MRI scans, the surgeons were happy that they had removed the tumour and Jaxon could start his recovery.
During Jaxons lengthy hospital stay, we were extremely lucky to be able to live in Ronald Mcdonald House which is supported by the Ronald McDonald charity providing a safe space for parents of seriously ill children to be with their little ones.
After two and a half long weeks, we were allowed to leave the hospital and head home to our older two boys and for Jaxon to continue building back to full health.
As you can imagine, this has had a huge impact and strain on our whole family, financially and mentally and we would like to raise some money for the Ronald McDonald Charity for the care they showed all of us and also to take our family on a mini holiday once Jaxon has fully recovered.
Thank you for reading our story and for your kind donations and words of encouragement.
