Jaxson MacDonald Memorial Scholarship

Michael, Troy and I want to thank everyone for their love and support. We have been through the unimaginable and we want to do something in memory of Jaxson. We are hoping to keep his spirit alive by creating a scholarship in his name to support young rock climbers on their journey to Youth National and Youth World Championships.

Jaxson lived life to the fullest and accomplished so much for such a young man but couldn't have done so without the support of many through his journey. His greatest joy was spending time with his friends climbing. Jaxson became an amazing climber and was able to see lots of the world competing at 3 Youth World Championships and numerous National Championships. He finished his climbing career as the Youth National Lead Champion and the runner-up Bouldering Champion. After his youth climbing career he became a Provincial and National route setter to help support the climbing community he dearly loved.

We are hoping through this scholarship to provide that same inspiration to those that follow his path. We plan to award scholarships each year to young climbers that need financial support on their journey to these events. It can be extremely challenging to dedicate the time and energy to make it to the highest reaches and our goal is to help support these athletes.

Jaxson we love you with all of our heart and will miss you forever. Love Mom, Dad and Troy
