Jay Browns Cancer fundraising

When everything changes in an instant; caught between what was and what is.

For years Jay's been an over the road truck driver supporting himself and his wife, even their children and grand children when needed. Thursday, September 14th, he celebrated his 55th birthday. The very next day, September 15th, he sat with his doctor and received the worse case news: stage 4 liver and colon cancer. It's too advanced at this stage, the best we can do is to slow it down. At best- 1 years time with chemo.
Within a few days he was hospitalized due to an infection at the biopsy site. A few weeks, several questions and tests later, it was confirmed not once, but three times: inoperable with no chance of organ transplant.

Medical insurance only covers so much.
Medical leave only goes so far.
Savings will be shortly depleted.
Unable to work, to provide. The rest of his life will be getting his affairs in order. Traveling to and from medical appointments, and visiting funeral homes. Selling things he is no longer able to use will only go so far to cover the bills of ordinary life plus the mountain of medical bills that will continue to grow while his life hangs in the balance. Bonnie, his wife, continues to work part time, as she has for years. Unfortunately, due to her own disabilities, she is unable to work more than she currently is to make up for the severe deficit created by Jay not being able to work.
Never ones to ask for help, they need it now more than ever. With the ever increasing costs of living, the funds coming in just aren't enough to cover the cost of what will be the rest of his life, not to mention what will become of hers.

Every little bit helps. Every share, donation, prayer. We thank you in advance from the bottom of our hearts.
