Jay Chase of the NATO3 Is FREE!!!

with this money we have been able to get Jay clothes, a phone, TV, food, medical care, and we have enough funds to continue to support him for some time.  thank you all for coming together for him after all this time!  the cops might have made the last 8 years for him hell, but these next few will be much more comfortable.***

Jay Chase of the NATO3 is finally free, and very much needs your support!!  Jay Chase, along with two others were kidnapped by the state of Illinois when NATO came to Chicago back in 2012.  The three of them came to Chicago, along with tens of thousands of others to say NO to the war machine that is NATO.  While in Chicago, the three of them were entrapped by undercover cops and then charged with numerous, ridiculous felonies.  This was the first time the state of Illinois charged people with conspiracy to commit terrorism, and it was simply for protesting NATO and being far leftists. Thanks to many awesome people on their legal team, and broader community support, they were found not guilty on all terrorism related charges!  However, all three were convicted on one felony. Jay was sentenced to the longest time, 8 years, for that felony. This sentence was beyond terrible in so many ways, but especially awful because Jay Chase has Huntington's disease.  He was diagnosed with it back in 2013 and the disease has been progressing since then.  Huntington's disease effects so many different aspects of a person, including their motor skills and cognitive ability.   Jay is out, but he has a long fight ahead of him with this disease.  There is no cure for Huntington's but there is treatment that can slow symptoms and prolong life.  Jay did not receive good care in IDOC (are we surprised?) but we want to get him proper care now that he is free.  Donations will be used to1) get Jay set up with basic necessities people need,2) medical care, and3) housing.  Jay will need continuous care as he fights this disease, so we are calling on our large community to come together to help him.   We see the continuous fight for justice and equality in the streets today, and that is fantastic!  Let's come together to support someone who took to those same streets 8 years ago and had everything, including his health and liberty, ripped away from him.  Let's make Jay's time left the best it can be!
